Roofing Service Areas Across Southwest Florida

Twelve communities across five counties, run out of two offices — Mike in Sarasota, Troy in Estero — so neither end of the coast is the far end of somebody’s drive.

Two Offices, Two Roofing Markets

We run this company from two offices roughly ninety minutes apart, and the reason is not coverage on a map. The northern and southern ends of our service area are not the same roofing market, and pretending otherwise is how a contractor ends up recommending the wrong system.

North of the Manatee River down through Osprey and Venice, the housing stock leans heavily on concrete and clay tile, deed-restricted communities set the material and color before you have even priced the job, and barrier island properties fight salt air every day of the year. South through Lee and Collier, the dominant fact is still Hurricane Ian: a rebuilt housing stock, an insurance market that tightened harder there than almost anywhere in the state, and design wind speeds in Collier County running 160 to 170 mph — higher than anything we deal with up north.

Permitting differs too, and not trivially. Bonita Springs, Estero and Fort Myers each run their own Community Development Department. Englewood is split down the middle by the Sarasota–Charlotte county line. Lakewood Ranch straddles Manatee and Sarasota. Venice has an architectural review process inside its Historic and Venetian Theme Districts that most roofing companies in the region never encounter. Getting the jurisdiction right on the first submission is the difference between a job that starts next week and one that starts next month.

Pick your community below for what that market specifically involves, or call whichever office is nearer — (941) 883-5148 for Sarasota and the north, (239) 453-4709 for Estero and the south.

Coverage

How far we actually travel

Two offices, not one and a long drive

An owner lives in each market. That is what makes it realistic to get out for an inspection quickly at either end, and it is why the person who quotes your job is the person who understands your county’s permitting rather than reading them off a sheet.

Permitted in the correct jurisdiction

City, village or county, depending on your address. Several communities we serve have their own building departments, and two of them sit across a county line. We submit to the right one first time.

HOA and architectural review handled

Lakewood Ranch, Osprey, Venice and much of Naples run architectural review on roofing material, profile and color. We supply the product samples and documentation those boards ask for as part of the job.

Still here after the season ends

Every Florida storm season brings out-of-state crews who take deposits and leave before the next one. We are licensed here, we permit here, and both owners live here. That is the whole difference when a warranty question comes up in three years.

What Our Customers Say

Reviews left by Florida Gulf Roofing customers on Google, shown word for word.

We had some damage from the hurricanes. Mike and Troy came to inspect the roof and assess the damage. They were able to make repairs on a few missing shingles and even matched the original shingles. I appreciate the fact they did not try to upsell me something that I did not need. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing a new roof or roof repairs.

Greg Shuey

Florida Gulf Roofing helped me with the insurance process after Milton. Troy did exactly what he said, the crew did an excellent job on site: clean, professional and on time. I could not have asked for a better experience during a stressful few months.

Olivia Mudry

My roof was leaking in many places causing water damage inside the house. Mike and his crew came out and installed a tarp the next day. After dealing with the insurance company they installed a new roof. They were professional, on time and cleaned up after themselves every day. I highly recommend them.
